Award-winning Gaelic/Scots singer Josie Duncan explores the history and legacy of Scottish coal-mining and its decline in new arrangements and original music created with her father, Andrew Duncan, principal tuba with the BBC SSO. Andrew also conducts the Newtongrange Silver Band, who feature in the performance alongside Pablo Lafuente (guitar), Laura Wilkie (fiddle), Hedley Benson (flugelhorn), Conal McDonagh (pipes/whistles), Alice Allen (cello) and guest singers.
