Designing the future: How can design-thinking re-position healthcare services?

Discovery Museum, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4JA
Tue 1st December 2015 5:30PM
Northumbria University’s School of Design and Tyne and Wear Archives & Museums present Designing the Future. This unique series of events will explore different perspectives on the way design influences our daily lives and how it will impact our future ways of living. In this event: Experts built the NHS; doctors, nurses, surgeons and physicians who monitor our vital signs and prescribe treatments according to their knowledge, experience and professional judgment. But we are living longer and this model of healthcare may not be sustainable. Led by design-led innovation specialist Dr Stuart English, a panel of experts will explore patient-centred ways of managing our biological, psychological and social wellbeing. Includes an exhibition which will run from Tuesday 1st to 3rd December.
