I am delighted to announce that I will be in residence at Newcastle Theatre Royal offering voice workshops for actors on the last Thursday of the month for 3 consecutive months.
Workshop 1 is entitled, 'Things That Make You Go Hmmm' .
This first session will be focus on correlations between the singing and the speaking voice. It will be packed full of useful tips to get you really connecting to your voice. You will learn how to warm up and cool down safely. There will be lots of lovely resonance exercises and plenty of technique tips and exercises that you can practise at home. There will also be a chance to talk about vocal health.
What will you need to bring to the workshop?
1. Water in a bottle
2. A towel or yoga mat (to lie on for breath release exercises)
*Text will be provided
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The session runs from 6.45 pm - 8.15 pm BUT you must sign in at the Stage Door prior to entering the main building (between 6.30 and 6.40 pm).
After signing in, you will be collected (at 6.40 pm) and taken as a group to the floor 4. Please do ensure you give yourself enough time to sign in because due to staffing and protocol, late participants cannot be admitted.
