Based on 'Oliver Twist' by Charles Dickens and brought to life by fantastic music and lyrics by Lionel Bart, the show opens with our talented Young Nomads singing 'Food, Glorious Food' and follows poor orphan Oliver's journey through London in 1837.
Along the way he meets various colourful characters, some being kind to him (The Artful Dodger, Fagin, Nancy), some not so kind (The Sowerberrys , Noah Claypole) and some being downright cruel (Bumble, Widow Corney, Bill Sykes)
Dickens certainly knew how to write a great story, and here we see how hope can triumph over adversity, as young Oliver is eventually rescued by Mr Brownlow and Mrs Bedwin, and finds love in his life at last.
Remember 'Consider Yourself', 'Pick a Pocket or Two', 'Who Will Buy? - You'll hear them all again and many more - don't miss out on a fabulous show!
