GHOSTS & GHOULS OF THE AULTOUN

Come to the medieval university campus and hear the stories of the ghosts of auld lang syne.

Find out the answers to the following conundrums:

  • Who was the Hermit of Powis?
  • Which Gordon Highlander killed himself rather than go back to the Western Front;
  • Who were the Gerard Sisters who feared direct sunlight?
  • Which hero of Scots legend has his arm buried in St Machar kirkyard?
  • What happened to the unfortunate drunk who was picked up by the anatomy students?

Meet that hated public servant, George Downie, the Sacrist who came to a sticky end when a student prank went desperately wrong, and find out if Mrs Baird, the minister's wife got rid of her rather pleasant, but slightly annoying heavy-breathing ghost.

Join us at Kings College and finish at the lower end of the Chanonry.
