MONDAY 22nd April 11am - 1.30pm

Join Carol Kemp for a fun workshop on how to make a beautiful and functional yarn basket. Carol will lead you, in her inimitable way, through how to create from start to finish, a coiled yarn basket. Expect lots of humour on the way.

Since 1987, Carol has worked as a freelance lettering designer, producing hand-drawn and digitally created lettering, calligraphy and type designs for hundreds of companies worldwide.
Carol graduated from Exeter College of Art & Design with a BA(Hons) in graphic design. She is a member of the Letter Exchange, D&AD and the Wynkyn de Worde Society.
Alongside her work as a lettering designer Carol has had an ongoing interest in making textiles, producing one-off pieces which often incorporate lettering. These often pursue themes and words of personal significance, and often take the form of needlepoint embroideries and hand tufted rugs, woven baskets or wall hangings.
You can see examples of Carol’s work on www.carolkemp.com
