Man Engine Cymru - RCT

Wed 11th April 2018
Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, Pontypridd, CF37 4PF

Come along to the beautiful Ynysangharad War Memorial Park and witness the Man Engine – the largest mechanical puppet ever constructed in Britain. Watch as he wakes, at 11.2m towering over all.

The Man Engine will be greeted with the handover of a gift. This gift symbolises the chains and anchors produced and supplied by Brown Lenox Chainworks using Rhondda coal, which furnished the Admiralty ad famous passenger liners including the Queen Mary and QE2. There will be plenty to keep you entertained with a large fun fair, displays and stalls.

Tickets for the free Man Engine Cymru event at Ynysangharad War Memorial Park have now all been snapped up!

However, for those who did not manage to get tickets there will be an opportunity for limited walk-up entry on the day. Those who have obtained tickets via the online booking system are reminded that they must have checked in, and be inside the event arena within Ynysangharad War Memorial Park by 1pm, or they may forfeit guaranteed entry into the event, as members of the public queuing will be admitted on a first come-first serve basis from this time.
