Sat 27th July 2019
BBC Radio 3 presenter Fiona Talkington chats with writer and beekeeper Helen Jukes about her critically acclaimed book A Honeybee Heart Has Five Openings. Helen's "beautiful and unexpected" account of escaping the daily grind to become a full time beekeeper has been hailed a "classic of modern nature-writing" (Countryfile Magazine).

Helen's writing has appeared in Caught by the River, BBC Wildlife, Port Magazine, The Clearing, The Junket, and LITRO. She teaches on the creative writing programme at Oxford University, and lives with her partner on the edge of the Peak District.
