|Directed by Mel De Lorme|
Someone who'll watch over me is a play written by Irish dramatist Frank McGuinness. The action focuses on the trials and tribulations of an Irishman, an Englishman and an American who are kidnapped and held chained up in a cell by unseen Arabs in Lebanon. As the three men strive for survival they endeavour to overcome their personal and nationalistic differences. Concurrently, the three, very different individuals, attempt to maintain sanity under the watchful eye of both captors and comrades. Despite the darkness of the subject the humour woven into the dialogue makes this a powerful piece of work that cannot fail to stir the emotions.
This amateur production of “Someone Who'll Watch Over Me" is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French.
Please note, this play contains some strong language and is not suitable for children.
