My Fair Lady

The award winning Ruislip Operatic Society presents for your delectation Lerner and Lowe’s My Fair Lady. Based on the play, Pygmalion, by George Bernard Shaw it tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a common flower girl, who wishes to learn to “talk more genteel” and Henry Higgins the professor who thinks he can teach her.  Taking a bet from his friend Colonel Pickering, Higgins bets he can pass Eliza off as a Duchess at the Embassy ball in just six months. With such well known songs as Wouldn’t it be Loverly? , On the Steet Where you Live and Ascot Gavotte, this show is a delight for both the ears and eyes.
