Hamish Napier, John Somerville, Ross Martin, Eilidh Shaw & Nic Gareiss
The second of the two Easter traditional cèilidhs feature four leading lights of the Scottish traditional music scene.
Hamish Napier, on keyboards and song, is from Strathspey and for over a decade has been an integral part of Glasgow’s vibrant folk music scene, tutor and composer.
John Somerville, originally from the Highlands, is one of a new breed of exciting and dynamic accordion players to emerge recently from the vibrant Scottish music scene.
Eilidh Shaw, fiddle and vocals, and Ross Martin, guitar, are probably best known for their work with two top traditional bands: Eilidh with The Poozies and Ross with Dàimh.
Michigan-born dancer, Nic Gareiss, has been described by the Irish Times as “the most inventive and expressive step dancer on the scene” by the Boston Herald.
