Mum is MAD!

Stanley Halls - Assembly Room, London, SE25 6AB
Tue 30th July 2019
She claimed she would “have nothing to do with the bomb,” but Lise Meitner’s work heralded the birth of the atomic age. From two young scientists bombarding atoms in Berlin to nations on the brink of Mutually Assured Destruction, this story will bring a scientific heroine out of the archive and into the theatre.

Join the cast and crew for a live recording of a radio play about Meitner’s life, followed by a discussion about the legacy of this physicist, what we can learn from her, and the challenges facing women in science today.
