The Norman Cornish Centenary Lecture (Illustrated)

The works of acclaimed artist, The late Norman Cornish MBE are celebrated in an illustrated lecture by his son-in-law, Mike Thornton, who has made it his mission to commemorate the man who made it from young humble coalminer, to acclaimed full time artist, initially by his involvement with the Spennymoor Settlement's Art and Sketching Club in the 1930s. His pictures adorn many public buildings and feature in many private collections, and was one of the first of the group affectionally nicknamed the Pitman Painters.

2019 marks the centenary of his birth and this lecture in presented on what would have been his 100th birthday.
