On Golden Pond by Ernest Thompson
Directed by Jackie Curran
This is the love story of Ethel and Norman Thayer, who are returning to their summer home on Golden Pond for the 48th year. A retired professor, Norman is nearing 80, with a failing memory, but still as tart-tongued, observant and eager for life as ever. Ethel is ten years younger and is Norman's perfect foil. They are joined by their middle-aged daughter, her fiancé and his teenage son. The play beautifully explores family relationships and important lessons are learned by all the characters.
