One Man Two Guvnors by Richard Bean and Carlo Goldoni
Directed by Bob Comolli
Multi Award Winning West End Hit!
Permanently hungry Francis Henshall is given a job by revered London gangster Roscoe Crabbe (actually it’s Rachel, his twin sister - in disguise, Roscoe having recently been murdered). He is also employed by Stanley Stubbers, who killed Roscoe. Complicating events still further is local mobster Charlie the Duck, who has arranged his daughter Pauline's engagement to Roscoe despite her preference for over-the-top amateur actor Alan Dangle. Francis’s world descends chaotically as tries to keep his two employers in the dark about each other and also pursues both Dolly, Charlie's feminist bookkeeper, and his dinner.
