Rosey: My Life in Cricket. Brian Rose is interviewed by Stephen Chalke

Brendon Books, Taunton, TA1 4ER
Thu 20th June 2019
Please note, after the interview there will be an opportunity for the audience to ask Brian some questions. There will then be a book signing.
Nobody has been more at the heart of Somerset cricket over the past fifty years than Brian Rose.
Brought up in Weston-super-Mare, he started playing for the county in 1969, becoming captain in 1978, the start of Somerset’s Golden Age. Under his leadership, with the great talents of Ian Botham and Viv Richards, they won five trophies in five years, the first in the county’s history.
He returned in the 1990s as Chairman of Cricket, then in 2005 as Director of Cricket, leading a revival in the county’s fortunes. He is now the club’s President.
In Rosey he tells the story of it all: the triumphs, the controversies, the characters, the fun. Still passionate about the county, he also looks forward to fresh Somerset success.
