#Soundcheck QUILL Ft BEV BEVAN with support from Kallon at Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Hall
✨🎶🎤🥁New Show Announcement🎷🎸🎻🎹 ✨
Quill Featuring Bev Bevan with support from Kallon.
Following their recent sellout show at The Lichfield Garrick Theatre, on the 22nd of June Quill return after many years to the ever popular and iconic Sutton Coldfield Town Hall, with Support from Kallon , a local female fronted rock band that are forging momentum on the local live music scene.
Quill emerged in the early 70’s from the West Midlands, home of so many influential bands. They honed their craft and soon gained the reputation of being one of the hardest working bands on the circuit, performing 100’s of gigs all over the country and Europe. They built a massive following supporting the likes of Van Morrison (Official), The Pretenders, Fun Loving Criminals, Paul Carrack, Simply Red and The Stranglers (Official), to name but a few.
Known primarily as a folk, rock outfit they have during the writing process developed a rockier edge and their own material has a unique, rootsy, dark feel to it. Using strong harmonies and great percussive rhythms. They delight in intriguing titles such as “Elephant in the Room”, “Grey Goose Call” and “Dead Man Walking”.
At a Quill show you can expect an atmospheric, classy set , they will take you on a journey, blending the artistry of guitar and violin, wonderful vocals, the magic of keyboards, all held together by an amazing rhythm section. The set is made up of new original material and quirky cover versions such as “Telephone Line” “Gold Dust Woman” California Man” and “Changes”
The show fits perfectly in theatres where they can captivate their audience using screens and visuals to further enhance the show. Quill love nothing more than a festival stage when they can really react with the crowd.
Recent festivals: The Americana, The Acoustic Festival of Great Britain and following a recommendation from Robert Plant an invitation to play Cropredy alongside Fairport Convention.
