If you like Alan Ayckbourn (and even if you don't), you will love this play.A diffident widower attempts to escape loneliness by joining the local amateur light operatic society. By accident rather than by design, he advances from a small part to the lead. Parallels are skilfully drawn between the Beggar’s Opera and the day to day activities of the society which is performing it!
Note: The previously advertised performance on Saturday 7 November has been cancelled due to it clashing with the Kenilworth Fireworks - a full refund or exchange of tickets for the cancelled performance is being offered to anyone who has booked. The production will commence on Tuesday 27 October instead.
