A.C. Grayling is Master of the New College of the Humanities, a Fellow of St. Anne’s College Oxford, and has written and edited over 30 books on philosophy and other subjects, including bestsellers such as The Meaning of Thingsand The God Argument. He is Fellow of both the Royal Society of Literature and the Royal Society of Arts. His new book, The History of Philosophy, published in June 2019, isan introduction to the ideas, views and teachings of some of the most creative minds known to humanity. Professor Grayling has traced both the epic Western philosophical journey, from Socrates to Sartre, and the global development of ideas launched by Confucius, Buddha and others. Hurstpierpoint College is delighted to be hosting an evening with A.C. Grayling, where he will share some of the themes of his book with students and parents, and take questions.
