The Magic Flute at The London Coliseum
Magical instruments. Serpents and sorcerers. Trials of character and courage. When you begin an enchanted journey to find love and wisdom, you have to expect delays on the way.
This term’s trip to London will be to see Mozart’s famous opera: The Magic Flute. This timeless classic follows the adventures of Prince Tamino and the bird-catcher, Papageno, on their quest to rescue Pamina. To assist their mission, they are given musical instruments enhanced with magical powers, which they deploy to conquer the trials and tribulations placed in their path towards a deeper understanding of true love and happiness.
This English National Opera production has had rave reviews and is a must-see for all pupils, including those studying A Level music or those in Lower Years seriously considering the study of Music.
Tickets are available via TicketSource to all pupils, parents, staff and friends of the School at the price of £31.50 including coach travel. Departure time 4.30pm, return time of 11pm.
