A brief humorous introduction to myself and work. A fast paced reading of chapter one of A MOON GIRL STOLE MY FRIEND. Audience participation, a couple of children or adults are invited to become my cyborg helpers. A discussion about what the future will be like and children can then sketch their ideas on paper or flip chart for discussion. Q and A.

A 45 minute talk/workshop followed by book signing.

Age range 6 to 11 years old

Rebecca Patterson grew up in Bolton. Initially she studied fashion design at East London Polytechnic and the Royal College of Art but once her children started school she did the MA in Children's Book Illustration at Anglia Ruskin University. Since then she has written and illustrated several children's picture books including MY BIG SHOUTING DAY. A MOON GIRL STOLE MY FRIEND is her first work of longer fiction for older children. She lives in Cambridge.
